We are pleased to share with you about our new scholarship recipient, Ms. Sarah Chalvet.

Sarah is a sophomore at Cedarville University, and she comes from a family who are missionaries in France. Sarah plans to go into pediatric oncology, and her drive to do that comes from her own personal history. When Sarah was 11, she had leukemia and spent much time in St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, overcoming the sickness. God is good and she survived and is healthy and in remission now. Because of the experiences those nurses brought her, she wants to use her skills in the same way. This scholarship was a great gift to her and an answer to prayer, and we are happy to have been able to bless her with this.

This summer Sarah will be traveling to Haiti as well, on a medical mission trip, to use her skills. While she still has a couple of years to go in schooling, she has a great vision of love and carrying God’s light to those who are young and battling cancer.

We are able to continually award these scholarships because of your participation in the 5K. Thank you! If you have not registered yet, don’t forget! Go¬†here. We look forward to seeing you June 4, so that we can continue blessing students such as Sarah. Thank you!
